Emma R. Casto 80, of Sandyville died January 11, 2009, at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley.
She was born March 16, 1928, in Sandyville, a daughter of Ira L. Richards and Maggie Allen Richards.

She worked as an LPN at Priddy’s Clinic in Ravenswood. She was an active member of the Mt. Hope Church of God, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a choir member. She loved being outdoors, gardening and quilting.

She is survived by children Kathy Harris Atkinson and her husband Chuck of Ripley, Allen “Buck” Casto and his wife Wanda of Sandyville; grandchildren Aaron Casto, Ravenswood; Jennifer Price of Mt. Gilead, OH; SaraBeth Woodham and husband James of DeFuniak Springs, FL; Paul Casto and wife Sherri of Sandyville; and Andrea Waugh of Ohio; great-grandchildren Jacob, Kalli, Savannah, and Samara; sister Belva Simons of Ripley; brothers Hubert Richards of Sandyville, and Gilbert Richards, Catawba, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and daughter, Karen.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Ravenswood Cemetery. Friends may visit the family at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, on Tuesday, January 13, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
