PARKERSGURG – Sylvia Taylor, 89, of Parkersburg, formerly of Clendenin, joined the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven on the morning of July 14th.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt, and friend. She was a wonderful example and was cherished. She will be sadly missed; family and friends rejoice in her arrival to Heaven.
She is survived by two brothers, Roy (Evelyn) Eakins and Harry (Diana) Eakins; sister Arlene (the late Ray) Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Toy Eakins; her husband, Pres Taylor; two sisters Marie (Gerald) Miller and Faye (Fred) Martin; two brothers Vincent (Juanita) Eakins and Ralph (living spouse, Virginia) Eakins.
For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:17).
Visitation will be Friday from 5 till 8 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg.
Funeral services and burial will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Aplin United Methodist Church in Gay.
