Delores A. Alfred, 72, of Ravenswood died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston.

She was born September 7, 1936, a daughter of John Laird Wasson and Veda Jeanette Beckett Wasson.

She was a housewife and former piano player for the Independent Fellowship Church, Freewill Baptist Church, Milhoan Ridge Baptist Church, and North United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughters Peggy (Bob) Stalnaker, Fonda (Denver) Kidder, Janet (Tim) Somerville, and Penny (Ronnie) Carte, all of Ravenswood; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and special friend Vicki Adams and husband Rick of Ravenswood

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, and one brother.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 30, at 1:00 p.m. at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, with Pastor Allen Stewart officiating. 

Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
