Joseph Stanley Waugh, 59, of Bruceton Mills (Pisgah Community), WV, died Monday, June 29, 2009, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

The son of the late Henry Stanley and Mary Icantha Sowards Waugh, he was born April 27, 1950, in Huntington, WV.

He was a retired Deputy Superintendent of the Davis Correction Center.

Joe is survived by sisters Judith K. Ferguson of Brandon, MS, and Vicki Lynn Snyder of Pearl, MS; brothers Paul Michael Waugh and his wife Eleanor of Gainesville, FL, James Kent Waugh of Ravenswood, Daniel Eric Waugh of Ravenswood, and Charles Tracy Waugh and his wife Susan, with whom he recently made his home in Bruceton Mills.

Friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills,  Thursday, July 2, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Friday, July 3, from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.  Pastors Tim Wotring and Steve Wotring will be officiating. 

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Bruceton Mills (Pisgah).
