RAVENSWOOD – Deborah Jean Brown, 37, of Ravenswood, passed away July 14, 2010 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, following an extended illness.
She was born June 23, 1973 in Ripley, a daughter of Russell Dealton and Betty Lou (Myers) Brown, both of Cottageville.
She was a former cook at the M & R Restaurant, in Ripley and enjoyed collecting Carousels.
In addition to her parents, other survivors include her son, Bryan Allen Hackney at home; daughters Melinda Faye Hackney of Cottageville and Amber Marie Hackney at home; brother and his wife, Christopher Thomas and Sue Brown of Locrest, GA; sister Linda Faye Stover and her husband, Michael of Point Pleasant; grandchildren Stephanie Reshell Lake and Conner Lee Brown; niece Kimberly Dawn Brown; nephews Thomas Brown and Brandon Brown.
Service will be 7 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, with Pastor Bradley Goodwin officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, prior to time of service.
