Gregory Jackson Baldwin, 68, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 following an extended illness.

He was born October 30, 1949 at Pike County, Kentucky a son of the late Hobart and Bertha Blackburn Baldwin. He was a 1967 graduate of  Belfry High School in Belfry, KY. He worked many years in sales for Tricor. In his spare time he loved to fish and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Donna Wolford Baldwin; Sons Gregory Baldwin II (Erin), Jamie Baldwin (Melissa), J.R. Thompson (Alisa), and Kenneth Thompson (Kerri); Daughter Carol Thompson; Sisters Betty Ryan (Pat) and Barbara Sammons. 10 grandchildren; James Maynard, Nancy Maynard, Shawnna Maynard, Ethan Thompson, Tyler Baldwin, Haleigh Baldwin, Kendell Baldwin, Aaden Thompson, Amie Thompson, and Olivia Baldwin. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Baldwin. 

A memorial service to celebrate Greg’s life will be held 1p.m. Saturday, October 20th at Parchment Valley Baptist Church, 1883 Ripley Rd., Ripley, WV 25271, with Pastor Matt Ash and Rev. Herman Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Greg’s memory to Parchment Valley Baptist Church.
