Addie Waybright Lockhart was called home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2018. She was born February 4, 1936, to the late Eva (Harmon) and Franklin Fleet Waybright on Zion Ridge, Gay, WV, in Jackson County. She was one of thirteen children.
Addie served the town of Ripley as a waitress at the Daniel Boone Colonial Inn and McCoys Restaurants. She enjoyed reading, building puzzles, crocheting, gardening and canning as well as traveling to see her children and relatives. She truly enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren as they grew. She had a strong work ethic, good sense of humor, and love for her family.
Addie is survived by her husband, Roland Lockhart; children, David Marsh and Mary Beth Smith, Cathy (Smith) and John Brubaker, Daniel Mark Smith, Rodney and Elizabeth Smith, Sandy (Smith) and Kevin Casto, Freda (Blake) and David Bradley; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and expecting two more; and two sisters.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Deidre (Kessel) Smith; seven sisters; and three brothers.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Reverend Troy Kline officiating. Burial will follow in Independence Cemetery in Sandyville, WV.
Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Saturday, May 26, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
