Roberta Jean Starcher, 77, of Sandyville passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House West following an extended illness. 

She was born April 25, 1940 at Spencer a daughter of the late Dexter Clair and Icy Monroe Scyoc. Roberta was a homemaker who had a love for her family as well as feeding the birds, and cross-stitch. 

She is survived by her husband of 58 ½ years, Charles Starcher; Son Dexter Starcher (Sandy) of Madison; Step-granddaughter Kassie Ball. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by infant son William Starcher, Brother John Scyoc, and Sister Jackie McCrady. 

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 24th at the Gibson Cemetery, Calhoun County with Pastor David Fields officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. For those wishing to go to the cemetery a procession will be meeting at the West Fork Community Park at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
