Darylene Virginia Dow, 86, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on January 17, 2018, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio.
She was born on August 6, 1931, in Charleston, WV, daughter of the late Randolph Ervin and Mary Virginia Murray Ward.
Darylene worked for Kaiser Aluminum for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ravenswood where she was a member of the choir. She loved to travel, especially to the Amish country. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, and camping. She loved being with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Stanley, son-in-law, David Harpold; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Ruth Ward; grandchildren, Kandy Prater, Chad Comer, Delisa Comer, and Tracy Harpold; great grandchildren, Brandee (Kyle) Harpold, Jeremiah Prater, Michaella Prater, Lexi Prater, Taylor Comer, Amber Parsons, Anthony Stevens, Jaala Smith, and Cierra Smith; great-great grandchildren, Hailynn Boozer, Zeke Parsons, Rowan Parsons, Landon Smith, Keegan Dunford, and Jade Gandee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Dow, daughter, Susan Harpold; sister, Mary Lou Giles, son-in-law, Bob Stanley; and grandson, Joe Prater.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Ravenswood with Pastor Mark Gerstell officiating assisted by Tony Wagner. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood on Sunday, January 21, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
