James “Jim” Edward Morrison, 63, of Harrisville, WV, departed this life unexpectedly on Thursday, November 9, 2017.
Jim was born April 9, 1954 in Chicago, IL, a son of the late Silman Dempsey and Hattie Pauline (Parsons) Morrison. He was a graduate of Ripley High School in 1972 and was employed by Trenton Energy of Ellenboro, WV where he worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the Cisco Community Church. Jim loved his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was extremely proud of his sons and their families, and was very involved in their lives.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Beverly Ann (Border) Morrison; sons, Jeremy (Amy) Morrison of Harrisville, WV and Joshua (Stephanie) Morrison of Hurricane, WV; grandchildren, Devon, Gabriel, Brianna, Raya, Claire and Emma; brothers, Charles (Barbara) Morrison of Kenna, WV and Alan (Amy) Morrison of Vienna, WV; father in law, Clyde (Sharon) Border of Petroleum, WV; sister in laws, Brenda (Robert) Dodd of Pennsboro, WV and Beth (David) Rheuark of Petroleum, WV, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother in law, Eileen Border.
Funeral services for Jim was 2pm, Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, WV with Pastor Dan Martin officiating. Visitation was from 4pm-8pm on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
