Elbert Eugene “Gene” Beaver, 68, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on August 27, 2017, at his home. Almost right up to the end he still had that smile on his face and that twinkle in his eye. If you knew him well, you knew he was about to “spring something on you”.
He was married over 31 years with Jo an. They had a happy, happy marriage. He loved golf and all the guys that played with him at Greenhills. Gene retired from Kroger warehouse in Charleston, WV, after many years, and K & S of WV in 2014. They were more than jobs to him, they were his life. He cared about all the people that worked with him.
He is survived by his wife, Jo an; daughters, Jennifer Tolley and Wendi Beaver; two stepdaughters, Bridget Casto and her husband Jeff, and Tammie Bowlin and her husband Les; brother, Wayne Beaver and his wife Pam; stepbrother, Matt Rutter and his wife Dianne; 3 stepsisters, Rose Rutter, Tammy Parsons and her husband Joe; and Laurie Walker and her husband John; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He loved them all so much and was proud of what they did in their lives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carnis Beaver; his mother, Delores Rutter; and stepfather, Charles Rutter.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at 11:00 am at Ravenswood Cemetery with Pastor Don Maxson officiating.
