Wilma Hart Ginther, 98, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on July 31, 2017, at Hubbard Hospice House West at Thomas Memorial in Charleston, WV.
Wilma was born on October 11, 1918, in St. Marys, WV, daughter of the late Carroll and Mabel Ludington Hart.
She was a 72-year member of the Ravenswood Women’s Club, and a 50 year plus member of the Ravenswood VFW 6669 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Ravenswood. She loved quilting, crocheting and visiting with friends. She was a 1936 graduate of Sistersville High School.
She is survived by her son, Lee A. “Andy” Ginther and wife Lynn of Hurricane, WV; granddaughter, Emily Woodrum and husband Nick of Huntington, WV; nieces, Margaret Ginther of Charleston, WV, and Nancy (David) Joslin of Griffin, GA; nephew, Mike (Claire) Ginther of Irvine, CA; special friends, Clark and Evelyn Stewart of Hurricane, WV, and Jean McConnell of Ravenswood, WV; and great grand puppies, Grace and Ella.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at 2:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood, WV, with Pastor Kenneth Leedy officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Saturday, August 5 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
