Carolyn Sue White, 77, of Cottageville, WV, passed away May 27, 2017, at their second home in Cross Lanes.

She was born August 8, 1939, on Ambler Ridge in Walton, WV, the daughter of the late Hobart Johnson and Eldred Mariedeth (Dodd) Johnson Miller.

Sue was a fulltime mother and homemaker. She attended and supported both, the Faith Assembly of God, Ripley, and the New Horizon Worship Center, Cross Lanes. She was a selfless person who loved God, her family and was a powerful witness for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Elton White; son and his wife, Doug and Tina White of Mount Alto; daughter and her husband, Angie and Chris Negley of Cross Lanes; grandchildren, Megan White, Brittani White, Nicholas Negley and Rhiannon Negley; great grandchild, Jansen Lamp; brothers, Scottie Johnson (Sharon) of Elkview, WV, and Gregory Johnson of Fresno, CA, and sisters, Phyllis Summers (Kenton) of Beckley, and Annette Cummings (Mike) of Lincolnton, NC.

Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV, with Pastor Jeff Nichols and Pastor Adam Nester officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
