William Arthur Vorbach, Jr., 91, of Ripley, WV, passed away May 25, 2017, in Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg, WV, following a sudden illness.
He was born August 2, 1925, in Morgantown, WV, the son of the late William Arthur Vorbach, Sr. and Wanda (Grosse) Vorbach. His wife, Irene “Rene” Vorbach and brothers, Bob and Dave also preceded him in death.
William was a World War II, United States Navy veteran and was a retired maintenance supervisor from Kaiser Aluminum. He was a pilot, a member of the Aircraft Owners Association and was a gentleman farmer. He was a Methodist by faith.
Survivors include his son, Danny “Yogi” Vorbach of Ripley; daughter, Brenda Kay Vorbach of Ripley; brothers, Joe and Jack; sisters, Sharon, Shonet, Twila and Bonnie and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to time of service. Private entombment will be in Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
