Ravenswood Tennis qualified six players for the 2018 West Virginia State AA-A Tennis Tournament (set Thursday and Friday at Coonskin Park in Charleston with finals Saturday at the Kanawha City Tennis Center) in weekend regional tournament play at Logan.

Ravenswood Tennis qualified six players for the 2018 West Virginia State AA-A Tennis Tournament (set Thursday and Friday at Coonskin Park in Charleston with finals Saturday at the Kanawha City Tennis Center) in weekend regional tournament play at Logan.  

Sophomore Ethan Rawson and freshman Mychal Boggs led the Ravenswood qualifiers by winning the AA-A Region 4 crown at No. 3 Boys’ Doubles. Rawson/Boggs will be one of just four Boys’ No. 3 Doubles teams advancing to Charleston for the state tournament.

Junior Max Hilton is a double qualifier, finishing as Region 4 runner-up in both No. 1 Boys’ Singles and teaming with senior Cody Williams to qualify as runners-up at No. 1 Boys’ Doubles.

Senior Molly McCutcheon is also a double qualifier, finishing as Region 4 runner-up at No. 2 Girls’ Singles and teaming with fellow senior Tana Phillips to qualify as regional third-placers at No. 1 Girls’ Doubles. This is the third straight state touanament berth as doubles partners for McCutcheon and Phillips.
