Coach Wes Swain’s Red Devils broke into the win column for the first time in 2018 with a dominant 10-0 shutout of Elkins in las Saturday’s RBI Tournament at Ripley.

 Senior Lakin Tucker got the pitching win, going the distance (six innings) with six strikeouts, one walk and just one hit allowed.

  At the plate, senior Blake Bennett led the Devils, going 3-for-3 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. Jake Greene and Andrew Anglin each went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Stephen Dawson went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBIs; Chase Swain, 1-fr-3 with an RBI and runs scored; Tucker, 1-for-3 with an RBI and two run scored; Ciao Kennedy, 1-for-1 with a run scored; and Luke Miller, two runs scored. 

  Ravenswood dropped a 5-1 decision at Gilmer County on March 26.

 Chase Swain took the pitching loss, going five innings with five strikeouts, two walks and four hits allowed. Latin Tucker tossed one inning with a strikeout.

  At the plate, Swain went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles. Andrew Anglin went 1-for-3 with an RBI; and Luke Miller, 1-for-3.

  The Red Devils lost a 6-3 decision to Ritchie County at Ellenboro on March 23.

 Lakin Tucker took the pitching loss, going three innings with four strikeouts, one walk and three hits allowed.Stephen Dawson tossed 2.1 innings with no strikeouts and three walks. Swain threw two-thirds inning with one strikeout.

 At the plate, Andrew Anglin led Ravenswood with a 2-for-4 performance. Luke Miller and Lakin Tucker each went 1-for-3 with an RBI; Blake Bennett, 1-for-4 with an RBI; Chase Swain, 1-for-3 with a run scored; Ciah Kennedy and Kenley Hickman each scored a run.
