The #3 seeded Devilettes host #6 seeded Calhoun County (4-18) tonight (Friday) in the opening round of the Class A Region 4, Section 1 Tournament.

In Tuesday night’s dominant win, Ravenswood got 17 points from freshman Annie Hunt (two treys, five assists) and 15 from senior Ali Westenhaver (eight rebounds) in outscoring the Cougars in every quarter. The Devilettes led 9-4 after one quarter; 20-5 at the half; 39-11 after three quarters; and outscored Capital, 14-5, in the final eight minutes.

Senior Kayla Liptrap added nine points; Skyler Varney, six; senior Maddie Schiefer (trey, six rebounds, four assists), three; and Kiera Curtis, two.

For the Cougars, Alisha Nevels scored five points; and Jamesha Loveless, three.

Ravenswood shot 40% from the door, draining 20 of 49 shots.
