Heating, cooling experts needed
DINWIDDIE — With the fall season just around the corner, Dinwiddie County Social Services is seeking help with the following Energy Assistance programs: Fuel assistance which offsets heating fuel costs; and crisis assistance which applies to heating emergencies.
Program service dates would run from the second Tuesday in October through the second Friday in November for Fuel assistance, and November 1 through March 15 for Crisis assistance.
Fuel assistance helps with heating cost, but it can also help with things like furnace re-starts, delivery charges, and installation charges.
Crisis assistance helps with heating emergencies when no other resource is available.
Dinwiddie Social Services will be hosting an Informational Vendor Fair for heating and cooling experts on Sept. 26 at the Eastside Community Enhancement Center, 7301 Boydton Plank Road. For more information or to express interest in a program and receive a personal invitation to the fair, contact the Dinwiddie Department of Social Services at 804-469-4524.
