Twenty charities have been selected to benefit from the Community Foundation’s 2017 Charity Challenge Matching Grant Program. These 20 non-profit organizations will receive $1 for every $2 raised during the challenge period of May – September.

In the past 14 years, the Community Foundation of Jackson County has worked with numerous non-profit organizations and local matching fund donors to provide $1.25 million for local programs through the popular Charity Challenge Matching Grant Program. Each year approximately $175,000 is generated for community programs through this collaborative matching grant program. Our goal is to increase the amount generated each year and put more funds back into Jackson County.

“Residents throughout Jackson County – from its youth to its senior citizens -- benefit from this challenge program,” said Christy Crowell, JCCF, Inc. Executive Director. “With one donation to the Foundation, matching fund sponsors can support 20 local charities and help us build a better Jackson County. If anyone knows how to stretch the dollar to reach all ends of the county, it is the Community Foundation.”
