RAVENSWOOD - Armstrong World Industries of Ravenswood has announced they have partnered with The Community Foundation of Jackson County to help fund and support the integrated 2017 Charity Challenge (September 30) & Community Celebration Benefit Dinner (October 19) with Rocky Bleier.

The companies amongst JCCF, Inc.’s Corporate Steering Committee are those who have given generously to help advance The Community Foundation of Jackson County’s mission. The primary purpose of The JCCF, Inc. Corporate Steering Committee is to drive the awareness, integration and continuous improvement of Jackson County through the Community Foundation.

“Armstrong has been a long time supporter of JCCF, Inc.” commented Christy Crowell, Executive Director, JCCF, Inc. “I am delighted to partner with them on their corporate commitment to Jackson County. Matt McVay and Jarrett Hill and their entire Millwood Leadership Team are a delight to work with and we are very fortunate that they are community-minded individuals.”

“The staff here at Armstrong (Millwood) has wanted to expand on our community involvement for some time. JCCF, Inc. was the perfect avenue for us to accomplish this goal. As busy as we are in our industry, we absolutely have to take time to stop and give back. The ladies in the JCCF, Inc. office (Christy & Misty) handle everything in a professional manner for us. This allows us to make 1 donation and that supports over 20 different charities, plus the benefit focus- Veterans, plus the many, many grants given out by the foundation. I could not think of a better way to support the county in which we do business,: commented Jarret Hill, Millwood Plant Manager.

Armstrong Worldwide Industries will join the Dickirson Community Fund and the Constellium CARES Fund in the campaign to provide matching grant funds for 20+ non-profits in Charity Challenge, provide support to the JCCF, Inc. Community Benefit Dinner focus on Veterans Organizations, and enhance the grant pool for the JCCF, Inc. Spring and Fall Grants.

20+ charities will be supported through the Charity Challenge Program on September 30  in Ravenswood.

On October 19, JCCF will announce their Fall Community Grant recipients at the Community Celebration Dinner.

Rocky Bleier will be the keynote speaker at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Millwood.

Bleier’s presentation focuses on winning through perseverance, hope, commitment and trust. Framed through parallels to football and Bleier’s personal journey as both a war veteran and four-time Super bowl champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bleier will explore both structural and emotional aspects for individuals and organizations to reach their greatest potential.

David and Linda Dickirson have given strong and passionate support to The Community Foundation through the Dickirson Community Fund for several years. This year, they are anxious to partner with other corporations in the county to help JCCF, Inc. succeed in their goals and mission.

“It is and always has been our ongoing commitment to conduct our charitable efforts through the Community Foundation in which we contribute to the economic, social and environmental well-being of our community”, commented David Dickirson.

Buddy and Carol Stemple are excited that the Constellium CARES Team are on board with The Community Foundation Corporate Steering Partnership. “Basic and responsible business behavior is to support the community in which your employees live and help that community thrive. Supporting The Community Foundation is a great decision for any business”, commented Buddy Stemple, CEO Constellium Rolled Products.

“The message we try to get across to potential donors is that our unique multi-tiered philanthropic approach is one that will stretch the dollar further than any typical non-profit giving avenue. Donating to JCCF, Inc. is convenient, professional, and efficient for any individual or corporation”, commented Will Hosaflook, JCCF, Inc. Board Chair.

Crowell stated “The opportunities for corporations to enter our nonprofit partnership with JCCF, Inc. are limitless, and their involvement provides crucial resources that enhance the quality and variety of programs we can provide to Jackson County. We sincerely appreciate the corporate support from Dickirson, Constellium & most recently Armstrong as we make the 2017 Charity Challenge & Community Celebration a success.”
