Ravenswood, W.Va. -

Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4 will offer choices for music lovers of all types at the Ravenswood Octoberfest. With four different bands to choose from there’s something for almost everyone to enjoy.

The festival’s headliner is the Davisson Brother’s Band. The band members, who hail from Nashville Tennessee, consist of Brothers Chris (lead and slide guitar) and Donnie Davisson (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), cousin Sammy Davisson (bass and vocals) and childhood friend Aaron Regeste (drums).

The Davisson Brother’s Band offers audience members a new breed of country music. Using a mix of country, southern rock and bluegrass the four-man band blends these traditional sounds to create a unique listening experience.

Jonalee White from Cincinnati, Ohio has performed with such musical acts as Dierks Bentley, Clay Walker and Taylor Swift. Her sultry voice made her a finalist on both NBC’s Star Tomorrow and CMT’s Music City Madness. White’s last two releases in 2008, “Sunday Paper” and “Wake Me”, found success in County’s top 40 charts.

Casey (Owens) Powell, a native of Ravenswood, sings lead vocals for the six-person band MIXX based in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The band also includes the talents of local performers Roger Unger, Dan Cox, Peggie Read, Charlie Read and Gary Starcher.

As the group’s name implies, MIXX performs songs from a wide variety of musical genres and covers various artists such as the Eagles, the Four Seasons, Carrie Underwood, Bobby Darin, the B-52s and Wild Cherry.

Blythwood, South Carolina resident Don Russo uses the acoustic guitar to enhance his Indie-rock style of music. The musician has recently released two singles “Circle” and “Too Late”, which can be viewed on You Tube.

The Davisson Brother’s Band and Jonalee White will perform on Saturday, October 3 starting at 5:30 p.m. On Sunday, October 4 Don Russo will take the stage at 1:30 p.m. followed by MIXX at 2:30 p.m.
