William Ballard White, 88, of Ravenswood, Jackson County, WV, departed this life Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley, of injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born February 5, 1924, in Frankfort, WV, a son of the late Blaine and Keturah C. (Hankins) White. His wife, Robin White also preceded him in death.
He was retired from the casting department at Kaiser Aluminum and member of United Steelworkers Union, Local #5668.  He was a World War II United States Navy veteran and member of the VFW, and attended the Second Baptist Church, Ravenswood. He enjoyed golfing and was a long-time member of the Green Hills Country Club, a member of the Masons and Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include his son, William Stephen White and wife, Terry, of Slatyfork; grandchildren, Natalie and Paul; great grandchildren, Isabella, Gillian, and Rainee; brother, Raynard White of Frankfort, and a sister, Helen Cole of Frankfort.
 Graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood, WV, with Pastor S.R. Parsons Jr. officiating with military honors by VFW post #6669, Ravenswood. Casto Funeral Home, Ravenswood, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
