Jennings C. Young, 80, of Leroy, WV passed away Wednesday February 15, 2012 at the Roane General Hospital in Spencer, WV.
He was born February 5, 1932 at Belgrove, WV a son of the late Dewey T. and Sylvia G. Parsons Young.
He was formerly employed by the State of WV.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald Young of Ripley; Russell Young of Felton, Delaware and Anthony Young of Belgrove, WV. His sister Dorothy Hays of Sandyville.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Roberta Bise of Leroy; Three brothers; George (Brenda) Young of Ripley; James (Debbie) Young of Leroy and Dewey (Zaida) Young of Laurel, Maryland. Also surviving are his four sisters, Arlene Boggess and Gale Rhodes, both of Ripley; Betty Sydestricker and Nancy Anderson, both of Charleston; six nephews and sixteen nieces.
At his request his body was cremated. In July a memorial service and internment will be held at the White Pines Cemetery, Belgrove.
Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
