Frances Mae Greathouse, 86,  of Max Meadows, Virginia, formerly of Liverpool, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Edgemont Center in Wytheville following an extended illness.
She was born August 23, 1925 in Jackson County, daughter of the late James Michael and Jessie Bosworth Easter. She was a lifelong homemaker and a member of the Joe’s Run Baptist Church.
Surviving: Sons, Robert N. Greathouse of Joplin, MO and Edgar F. Greathouse (Peg) of Leroy; Daughter, Blanche Wright (Allen), of Max Meadow, VA; Brother, Ralph Easter of Sandyville; She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Frances was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Edgar N. Greathouse, daughter Delores Garr, sister Edith Easter and brothers Joseph, Robert, Harold, Charles and Freeman Easter.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 22 at 1 p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Bob Keene officiating. Interment will follow the service at Jackson Memory Gardens, Cottageville.
Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to the service Wednesday.
