  • EVANS - Planted deep within the hills of Jackson County, locally-owned restaurant Grandma’s Diner is nestled within Evans, West Virginia. Grandma’s Diner originated on Febuary 4, 2014, when family members, brother Donni Durbin and his two sisters, Kathleen Hart and Brenda Weekley, decided to open a local restaurant that offered “good home cooked meals” for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each family member possesses a lengthy background in culinary preparation, which they have taken and produced an appetizing menu selection.

    Co-Owner Brenda Weekley stated what set Grandma’s Diner out from the competitors is “the relationships built with the customers,” as well as “the fresh ingredients used in meal preparations.” “Grandma’s Diner is like a big family,” stated Co-Owner Kathleen Hart. It was also brought to the attention that “Donnie Durbin makes the best Philly cheese steaks in West Virginia,” by Kathleen Hart. Grandmas Diner’s hours are as followed:
    Lobby hours Monday through Saturday 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
    Delivery or Drive Thru Monday through Saturday 12:00 – 9 p.m.
    Chris Garnes, regular customer of Grandmas Diner, said, “ The food is very good, especially the meatloaf, and the ice cream is really good,” stating that it was worth the trip to Evans to try Grandmas Diner. Grandmas Diner always welcomes new faces to try the delicious home-cooked meals.
