  • RIPLEY - The Jackson County Board of Education held its regular session on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 7 p.m.  
    Steve Chancey, president of the board, called the meeting to order and offered a moment of silence followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
    The Jackson County Board of Education took action on the following items:

    This month the Board of Education formally recognized four retirees. The Board presented the recipients in attendance with a token of their respect for their achievement presented by Jim Mahan. The retirees are as followed Dwight Anderson 36 years of service Bus Operator Transportation, Luanne Mccown 34 years of service School Psychologist, Saundra Lattea 30 years of service Teacher Aide Kindergarten Ripley Elementary, and Wilma Bennett 25 years of service Teacher Fairplain Elementary. Congratulations to all recipients.
