  • RAVENSWOOD - Bob Huffman is a individual who is a “forward thinker,” and hopes to bring “change” to the City of Ravenswood with the support of Mayor Michael Ihle as well as the City Council.
Huffman brings over 20 years of combined supervisory experience to the City of Ravenswood. He worked for then Ravenswood Aluminum as a supervisor for 10 years. Then Mr. Huffman became self-employed as an owner-operator, where he would haul freight on his truck. He was an owner-operator for over 10 years and during this time he gained supervisor experience as well as managing budget skill sets.
Huffman also worked with the City of Ravenswood as a CDL driver for a period, before taking the Maintenance Supervisor position.
Given his 20-plus years experience and his “forward thinking,” it helped him to be a qualified candidate for the position.
After several interviews, Mayor Ihle said that one of, “the main reasons we hired him (Bob Huffman), is he is a forward thinker.” As well as, “he has the credibility to emerge as a new leader” given the fact he had worked with the City of Ravenswood long enough to see what worked versus what did not.
One of Mr. Huffman’s goals as far as bringing “change” to the City of Ravenswood pertains to maintaining the city and its appeal to those who are seeking a residence.  “We want the City to look nice,” he said. “and we want people to look at Ravenswood as a place to raise their family.”
