GREEN HILLS - The Dave Hood Classic will tee off around 10 a.m. on August 16 at Greenhills Country Club. The tournament is a four-man best ball scramble.
All proceeds go to the Dave Hood Foundation which was formed to provide scholarships to Ravenswood High School seniors and may also help community projects in the future in honor of Ravenswood native and community leader Dave Hood.
The cost per team is $240 ($60 per player) and each player will be allowed to purchase one mulligan.

There will be closest to the pin, longest drive, longest putt, etc. prizes at the event.
“This will be a particularly tough time hosting the tournament this year following the passing of Dave Hood, but this event has always been about friendship and community which is exactly what Dave Hood stood for, and I hope we can continue this event for many years to come,” said Josh Miller. Miller and Dave Sullivan put together the tournament each year with the help of generous volunteers.
Pre-registration for the event will begin at the Greenhills Pro Shop on Friday (July 11) with a maximum of 20 teams.
