RAVENSWOOD – Three key members of the Ravenswood Red Devil baseball team, who recorded a turnaround 26-9 campaign with a sectional crown and the first appearance in the regional final since 1999, were named to Class AA All-State honors recently. Seniors Devon Crews and Heath Burgess were joined by junior Thomas Sturm on the state honor squads.
Crews topped the honor trio by being named to the AA All-State First Team as an infielder. The senior shortstop led his team at the plate belting 10 home runs including a pair of grand slams in one inning. Crews drove in 63 runs on the season, while hitting above .500.
