  • RIPLEY – The postseason honors continue to roll in for members of the Ripley Viking baseball team, as sophomore shortstop Christopher Jordan and junior centerfielder Trevor Tucker earned Class AAA All-State selections.
Jordan, who earlier this year committed to play baseball at Marshall University, had a stellar 2014 campaign both at the plate and in the field, was named Second Team All-State as an infielder. He finished with a team high .381 batting average, a .444 on base percentage, a .549 slugging percentage, 43 hits, two home runs, 21 RBIs, and 31 runs scored. In addition, he led the team in stolen bases with 19, and had two saves on the mound for the Vikings.
Tucker, who earned an honorable mention selection, was right behind Jordan in terms of offensive efficiency for the Vikes. He finished the season with a .337 batting average, a .389 on base percentage, a .466 slugging percentage, 32 hits, one homer, 16 RBIs, and 16 stolen bases.
