RAVENSWOOD - A Ravenswood man remains lodged in the South Central Regional Jail, facing five sex charges involving a juvenile female.

Ravenswood Police Detective R.J. Knox and PFC B.J. Thompson received a tip on the evening of June 5 regarding the possibility of a 14-year-old female being in the bedroom of the home of an adult male, identified as Timothy S. Wines, 22. Wines was on Home Confinement for a previous unrelated offense.

Upon arrival at the residence, the officers were given permission to enter and found the juvenile female in the bedroom. Home Confinement officers Steve Anderson and Jordan Anderson were notified and came to the dwelling.
The officers found a Nabi Junior tablet in the bedroom which contained an image of the juvenile nude in a sexually explicit pose.

Wines was placed under arrest for possession of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
On June 6, after an interview of the juvenile with the permission of her father by Ravenswood Chief of Police Lance Morrison and Detective M.E. Cullen of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Wines was additionally charged with four counts of sexual assault in the third degree.

Wines remains incarcerated in lieu of $195,000 bond set at arraignment by Jackson County Magistrate Tom Reynolds.
