RAVENSWOOD – Junior pitcher/slugger Savana Casto tops a trio of Ravenswood Red Devilettes named to West Virginia Class AA All-State Softball honors.
Casto was named to the AA All-State First Team as a one of three Utility Players. Casto hit at a .426 clip for the 2014 season with an .882 slugging percentage, powering five home runs, three triples, 10 doubles and 11 singles among 29 hits in 68 at-bats. She drove in 37 runs and scored 23.
On the mound, Casto rolled up a 17-9 pitching record, fanning 201 batters and walking just 59 over 138.1 innings with an ERA of 1.771.

Senior shortstop Katie Buckbee wrapped up a stellar diamond career with a spot on the Class AA All-State Second Team. Buckbee hit .413 with a .720 slugging percentage. She socked one homer, three triples, 14 doubles and 13 singles among 31 hits. Buckbee drove in 22 runs and scored 19. She had a .869 fielding percentage.
Senior catcher Sidnee Morgan was named to the Class AA Special Honorable Mention List. Morgan put up a .990 fielding percentage and hit at a .394 clip with a .621 slugging percentage with two triples, 11 doubles and 13 singles among 26 hits. Morgan drove in 15 runs and scored 10.

Casto topped the all-conference for the Devilettes, garnering All-LKC First Team honors. Morgan, Buckbee and freshman outfielder Claudia Cubides were named to the All-LKC Second Team. Freshman first basegal Ariana Kennedy was named to the All-LKC Honorable Mention List.
Cubides hit .328 (.493 slugging percentage) with two homers, five doubles and 15 singles among 22 hits. She drove in 23 runs and scored 25.

Kennedy hit .458 (.514 slugging percentage) as the Devilette lead-off batter. She socked a triple, two doubles and 30 singles among her 33 hits. She drove in 12 runs and scored 32. Kenendy had an .899 fielding percentage for the Devilettes.
