  • COTTAGEVILLE - The public is invited to participate in a Gavin Strong Memorial Trail Ride in honor of the late Gavin Morris hosted by the Jackson County Junior Fair Equine Committee on Saturday (May 3) at the Jackson County Junior Fairgrounds.
Trail ride registration will be at 10 a.m. Riders will leave at 11 a.m. with one of two trail options: 11 miles or 18 miles. A $10 donation is suggested per rider but is not required. Any and all donations will be accepted for the trail ride and wagon and pony rides. Wagon and pony rides will be provided by Rocky Point Farm.
All proceeds will be donated to Alex Lemonade Stand Children’s Cancer Research in Gavin’s name.
Entertainment will be provided by the Hillbreed from noon-3 p.m.
There will be an auction at 3 p.m. Donated items will be greatly appreciated.
The JCJF Equine Committee will have hot dogs. Please bring a covered dish to share, your own drinks (no alcohol) and a lawn chair.
If you don’t ride, don’t let that stop you. Come out. Take a wagon ride. Let your kids take a pony ride. Listen to the Hillbreed. Go to the auction. And donate to a great cause.
