  • RIPLEY - The Jackson County Board of Education held its regular session on April 3. The BOE honored 36 students from Math Field Day and the All State West Virginia Children’s Chorus. (see photos).
    The following is a list of personnel changes with the Jackson County Board of Education;
    Retirement
    Glenda Shockey, Cook III, Henry J. Kaiser Elementary School, effective July 1, 2014
    Resignation
    Timothy Brett Rector, Teacher, Ravenswood High School, effective April 7, 2014
    Jennifer Frazier, Boys and Girls Tennis Coach, Ravenswood MiddleSchool, effective for the 2014-2015 school term
    Reassignment by Mutual Consent:
    Kevin Shane Casto, Teacher, Ripley Middle School, from Physical Education/Special Education to Physical Education, effective April 7, 2014.
    Employment
    Parent Trainers, Title I Program, Cottageville Elementary School, on an as needed basis, at a rate of pay of $18 per hour, effective for the 2013-2014 school term
    Joan Hayman substitute teachers, effective for the 2013-2014 school term
