  • RAVENSWOOD - Alumni, businesses, fans, organizations and friends, now is time to show your financial support for the Red Devils!
A new football stadium project is in the works that will transform Ravenswood High School’s historic Flinn Field.
In July, 2013, the concrete visitors’ bleachers at Flinn Field were condemned and demolished. A small set of temporary bleachers were brought in to serve during the 2013 season until plans and funds could be generated for new structure.
The 2014 football season will mark the 100th year of football at Ravenswood high school, and the Jackson County Board of Education’s has plans underway to replace the portions of bleachers that were removed in July, 2013.
To fulfill the desire by coaches, fans and administrators to return the home side to its original location (the current visitors’ side) with the new bleachers, additional funding is needed. The goal at Ravenswood High School is to generate $250,000 in additional funding for the stadium project.
The current visitors’ side will again become the home side with new bleachers and a press box. In addition, upgrades and enhancements needed to maintain the stadium would be made to make it one of the best high school stadiums in West Virginia, as well as allow adequate seating for playoff games.
