Over the weekend, I was re-reviewing my file of hate mail, death threats and criticism over the past ten years or so with some folks, and I found a few tidbits I thought I’d share.

On January 19, 1999, Rick printed a letter from Michael Fuller, during the Clinton years, in which he demanded “do you think you could be critical of one Democrat in your entire lives (sic).” Then we have Barry X of Hopkinton on February 26, 2003, saying that he disagrees with my “irrational hatred of the President” and I “really need to get past it.”

Since I get the same comments now on this blog, I figure I can just repeat what I said to both of these folks, since I sent the same form letter to them: “My criticism of politicians is non partisan, and since my interest is the United States in the broad scope of history, I don’t see my objection to someone destroying this country as ‘irrational,’ but thanks for writing.”
