Carl “Jack” Andrew Dooley, 89, of Ravenswood, West Virginia died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at his home. He was the son of the late Constance Stanley Dooley and Carl Andrew Dooley, of East Bank, WV.  He was a graduate of East Bank High School and a veteran of World War II, proudly serving in the United States Navy. He was retired from Union Oil in Houston, Texas, relocating to Ravenswood, WV where he enjoyed his retirement and riding his horses. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Ravenswood.  His wife of 60 years, Leona Jarrett Dooley, as well as three brothers, Jasper Dooley, Melvin Dooley, Raymond Dooley and one sister, Lucille Dooley Kaman, preceded him in death.

Survivors include:  Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Woodrow “Woody” and Sarah Ruth “Sissy” Jarrett of Ravenswood, WV; sisters in law; Ernie “Boots” Dooley Coleman of Dawes, WV, Frances Dooley Baxter of Venice, Florida, Julia Dooley of Charleston, WV, along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 23 from 12:00-12:30 at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood.  The funeral service will take place at 12:30, following the visitation.  Reverend Shawna Hyde will officiate the service, Burial will follow at 3:00 at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery in London, WV.
