RIPLEY - Perhaps no organization has the opportunity to connect with their community like a health care facility. Jackson General Hospital has been a leader in those connections within Jackson County for 50 years and the JGH Foundation is hard at work ironing out the final details for the January 25 celebration set to take place at the Jackson County Armed Forces Reserves Center.
“We understand the importance of our half a century of unparalleled care and service within our community and we look to celebrate that with our most elegant fundraising event yet,” said JGH Event Coordinator and Marketing Director Rhonda Davis.
“We are proud of our history and we want to celebrate it.”
A planning and organization meeting was held on Wednesday to finalize the fine details for the gala.
The event will include memorabilia, newspaper articles, photographs and ads from the past. Many of the newspaper articles will be pulled from the Jackson Herald archives.
Live music will be grooved by the regionally popular Santa Cruz Band and a DJ will be present to spin your favorite tunes. The versatile menu and cash bar will be offered by local favorite, The Fairplain Yacht Club.
“We are very excited about our menu,” added Davis.
West Virginia Fine Photography will be on hand for keepsake pictures and a silent auction will be offered with goods from local merchants.
Tickets are $65 each and $60 for seniors (55+) or $110 for couples and $100 for senior couples. Make your checks payable to JGH Foundation 122 Pinnell Street Ripley, WV 25271. You can pay by credit card or get information about one of six levels corporate sponsorship by calling 304-372-2731.
