RAVENSWOOD - A body found in a wrecked car off Hemlock Road Saturday morning has been identified as a Ravenswood man.

A passerby spotted the wrecked vehicle— a 2000 Subaru Imprezia—over an embankment off Hemlock Road, some two miles from the Route 68-33-2 intersection, near Wolf Pen.

West Virginia State Police Ripley detachment commander Sgt. J.P. Murphy said the body was identified as that of Keith A. Cox, 22, of Ravenswood.

Investigators believe the fatal crash occurred about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. Cox apparently failed to negotiate a curve. His vehicle careened over the embankment, and plowed into a tree.
Trooper W.F. Donohoe III investigated the fatal crash.
