RIPLEY - Marine Corps League Detachment# 1065, Ripley is conducting the groups’ Toys of Tots campaign for Christmas in Jackson County with a number of locations set up for the contribution of new, unwrapped toys.
Randy Fisher of the local Marine Corps League stated that the Adopt-a-family programs for both Ripley and Ravenswood will benefit from the collection. Locally collected toys will stay in Jackson County to make Christmas merrier for those less fortunate.

Toy collection bins have been established in a number of different locations in Ravenswood and Ripley. Jackson County residents are urged to help in this worthwhile program.

Toys for Tots was established by the Marine Corps League in 1948 and has collected nearly 500,00 toys during that time. Several Thousand toys are collected and distributed annually in Jackson County.

Collection bins are located at the following businesses: Farm Credit, Jackson General Hospital, Fairplain Tractor, Premier Bank, Wal-Mart, George Chiropractic, Fairplain Dollar General, Ripley Dollar General, Jackson Newspapers, Jackson County Courthouse, Jackson County Library, Harris and Holmes, Fruth Pharmacy, Frugal Frog, Ripley Drug and Great Outdoors.
