RIPLEY – A trio of top 10 runners helped earn the Ravenswood Devilette cross country team the Class AA-A Region 4 title on Thursday on the course at Cedar Lakes.

Hailey Miller and Taylor Treadway finished second and third, respectively, while Taylor Love was ninth. Miller and Treadway are juniors while Love is a sophomore.

Miller turned in a time of 21:15.0 to placed second behind Wayne’s Kylie Rutherford, who crossed the finish line first in a time of 21:10.3. Treadway’s time was 21:25.0.

Also for the Devilettes, freshman Kylee Williams placed 20th (24:16.9), senior Mariah Currey was 21st (24:25.1), senior Jasmine Howard was 23rd (24:29.6) and sophomore Larissa Hayman was 29th (26:21.1).
The Red Devil boys’ team placed sixth overall. Sophomore Jameson Cooper was 17th (19:43.4), senior Jon Hayman was 20th (19:57.9), freshman Riley Heatherington was 26th (20:22.7), Colby Marks finished 34th (21:27.0) and Chase Jarrell was 38th (21:48.2).
