CUMBERLAND - Two Georges Creek men and a 17-year-old juvenile have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of incidents in which several pets were shot with darts.
According to the Allegany County Sheriff's Department, Jamie Wayne Villa, 19, of Frostburg, Christopher Allen Fazenbaker, 25, of Lonaconing, and the juvenile were arrested following a one-week investigation involving the shooting of darts at domestic cats in the Georges Creek area.
Blow guns were used to shoot the darts, and several four- inch darts were located at different locations. Three blow dart guns were recovered during the investigation.
One of the cats targeted by the apparent random acts recieved a four- inch dart into its neck area.
Fazenbaker and Villa were charged with one count attempted animal cruelty, one count animal cruelty, three counts of contributing to the conditions of a child, three counts of littering under 100 pounds, and one count of disturbing the peace.
Villa was held on $5,000 bond and Fazenbaker was held on $3,500 bond. The juvenile was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.
