  • Vikings and Lady Vikings compete in conference CC Meet

  • RIPLEY – Beautiful Cedar Lakes was the venue for another huge cross country event on Wednesday.
    For the second straight year the challenging course was used to decide champions for the Mountain State Athletic Conference.
    Cabell Midland captured the boys division while Hurricane was the winner of the girls division. Hurricane's boys were second to the Knights while Winfield finished as the runner-up behind the Lady Redskins.
    Ripley's boys were sixth overall while 134 points while the Lady Vikings were seventh with 212.
    Jake Casto and Remy Boyce both just finished outside the top 10 on Wednesday. Casto was 11th overall in at time of 17:58.18 Boyce was 12th in a time of 17:58.74.
    Levi Phillips was (19:06.18) 39th , Skye Stover was (20:04.56) 64th , Tucker Miller was (20:19.84) 69th and Dalton Fisher (20:29.18) was 70th . Also competing for the Vikings were Christian Fields(20:29.18), who was 78th , Sean Fields (20:56.49) was 90th , Braxton Morrison was (21:11.08) 95th , Jared Wendell (21:33.58) finished 110th and Austin Carpenter (22:37.61) was 133rd.
    For the Lady Vikings, Haley Ford (23:14.66) and Molli Cunningham (23:23.47) led the way with finishes of 39th and 40th, respectively.
    Sapphire Parsons (24:42.06) was 56th, Amanda Longanacre (25:28.09) was 64th, Laurel Miller (24:20.65) was 83rd, Amy Farrell (26:26.51) was 88th, Julia Hunter (29:13.90) was 107th, Allison Phillips (29:40.64) was 112th, Jade Donohew (30:19.40) was 122nd and Alex Kelly (32:30.26) was 123rd.
    Ripley returns to Cedar Lakes on Thursday to compete in the Class AAA Region 3 Meet.
