  • RIPLEY - A Kenna man has been charged with the daytime burglary of a mobile home and Grand larceny for the theft of several items.
Joseph D. Rayhill, II, 26, was arrested, following an investigation spearheaded by Deputy B.L. Varney of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department with the assistance of Lt. C.C Metz and Chief Deputy H.L. Faber.
On September 27, James D. Shaffer reported his Spicewood Road mobile home had been entered through a window and several items were missing. A witness reported a gray pickup truck in the driveway around the time of the crimes and provided a description of the vehicle along with its license number.
Missing from the mobile home were a radial saw valued at $150, a tire and rim valued at $200, a cable set valued at $200, two boxes of ammunition valued at $40 and two TV sets valued at $200 each. A small generator was also discovered stolen later.
Varney, Metz and Faber investigated and that investigation led to Rayhill who subsequently allegedly admitted to the crimes. He was charged and lodged in the South Central Regional Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
