Terry Rae “T.C.” Covey, 56, of Ripley,WV passed away at home Sunday morning following an extended illness.
She was born November 6, 1956 at Vincennes, Indiana, daughter of the late Jack and Shirley Thurston Killian. She was formerly employed by Vincennes University, was a certified emergency medical technician and, prior to her illness, was employed by the American Red Cross as a disaster response specialist.
Surviving: Husband, Steven Covey of Ripley; Son, Johnny Ray Junod of Indiana; Daughters, Dawn Staley of Indiana and Michelle Hill of Ravenswood; Grandchildren, Kylle Brown of Ravenswood and Gabrielle Eisenhut and Garrett McGiffen, both of Indiana; Brother, Louis Killian of Indiana; Sister, Sheila Hunicutt of Indiana.
It was Terry’s wish that her body be used for medical research and education. That wish was realized Monday when she was accepted at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine at Lewisburg.
A gathering to celebrate the life of T.C. Covey will be held Saturday, September 14 from 3-5 p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley. All are invited and the family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation in her honor be made to a charity of choice.
