Adam Wesley Miller, Jr., 81, of Shallotte, NC, formerly of Ravenswood, went home to be with the Lord on September 12, 2013, surrounded by family.
He was the son of the late Adam Wesley Miller, Sr. and Grace Pugh Miller, of Webster Springs, WV.
He was retired from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a longtime member of Shell Point Baptist Church in Shallotte, NC; coached little league baseball for many years; and loved watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren in their various activities. He was a great football fan, especially the Mountaineers.
Surviving are his companion, Betty Hasty of Shallotte, NC; daughters, Debbie Harpold and husband Harry of Katy, TX, and Jan Johnson of Morgantown, WV; son, Jeffrey Miller and wife Mary of Morgantown, WV; granddaughters, Marylyn Dawn Kinney and husband Marcus, Nicole Ware, and Tiffany Miller and Shane Guthrie, all of Morgantown, WV; grandsons, Justin Harpold of Gray, TN, and Adam Johnson and Belinda Workman of Pataskala, OH; great granddaughters, Lindsey Lancaster, Isabella Ware, and Addisyn Guthrie, all of Morgantown, WV; great grandsons, Tyler and Cameron Lancaster, Isaiah, Brennan, and Elijah Kinney, and Aaden Ware, all of Morgantown, WV; and a very special nephew, Ron Isenhart and his wife Delores of Quaker Town, PA.
In addition to his parents, Adam was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley; sisters, Rosaline Isenhart and Mildred McCoy; and granddaughter, Erica Harpold.
He will truly be missed by his family and friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at 2:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home, Ravenswood, WV, with Reverend Ed Burdett officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery.
Friends may visit the family at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
