  • Devilettes are 2nd at Chick-fil-A Meet

  • MINERAL WELLS – It was another solid performance by the Ravenswood Devilette cross country team on Saturday.
    Bryan Canterbury’s crew took second in the Class AA-A portion of the Chick-fil-A Invitational in Mineral Wells at the Wood County Fairgrounds.
    Ravenswood finished with a team total of 109. The Devilettes were nine points behind first place Williamstown’s 100. The AA-A field featured 18 full teams.
    Hailey Miller was third overall with a time of 20:20. Taylor Tredway (21:00) came in sixth. Taylor Love (22:25) placed 15th. Kylee Williams (24:21) was 50th, Jasmine Howard (24:31) was 54th, Mariah Curry (24:36) came in 57th and Larissa Hayman (25:01) placed 72nd.
    “Our girls are proving they can run with the top teams in the state on a weekly basis.  We closed the gap again on Williamstown and we are getting stronger.  Our top three ran impressively and they all made big improvement from last year, “ said Canterbury.
    The Ravenswood Red Devils were 15th in a field of 26 Class AA-A teams in the boys division with 383 points.  
    Jameson Cooper (19:10) was 48th, Jon Hayman (19:51) was 76th, Chase Jarrell (19:58) was 81st, Riley Heatherington (20:37) was 100th, Colby Marks (21:23) was 131st and Dustin Anderson (22:23) was 151st.
