Doris Irene “Dot” Good, 75, of Sandyville, passed away September 8, 2013, in Eldercare of Ripley, following a brief illness.
She was born March 4, 1938, in Ripley, a daughter of the late Ferd  “Happy” and Alice Prica (Randolph) Hardman.  Her son, Ricky Lane Good, and a sister, Loretta Harper, also preceded her in death.

She was a former employee of Wolf’s Slaughter House, Thomas and Wolfe Market, the Pioneer Fabric Shop, and was co-owner and operator of the Alpine Theater in Ripley. She enjoyed her animals; sewing, and she attended the Hemlock Community Church.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Amos Alexander Good, son, James Allen Good of Mt. Alto, daughters Carolyn Sue Marion of Roanoke, VA, and Brenda Marie Hobson of Rockwell, NC, brothers, Kenneth Hardman of Norfolk, VA, Jerry Hardman of Bowling Green, OH, and Larry Hardman of Toledo, OH, sisters, Helen Brown of Kentuck, WV, Bonnie Skeen of Dawsonville, GA, and Mary Smith of Ripley, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2013, at Casto Funeral Home Chapel, Evans, with Pastor J. E. Dolan officiating.  Burial will follow in Kiser Cemetery, Kentuck.  Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
