RIPLEY - The Ripley Little League Softball 11/12 All Stars were ousted from the State Tournament last week after losses to Grant County and Boone Northern.

Manager Chuck Bumpus was disappointed in the outcome but spoke highly of the squad's effort.

"All three losses including the District Championship were by a combined three runs. They are hard losses to take but they competed well and I'm proud of them and their hard work."

In the squads 14-0 pool play win over Summersville, Jamie Crawford hurled a phenomenal four inning shutout while giving up only two hits, three walks and seven strikeouts.

Katie Sinclair went 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBIs. Cassidy Young was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, Jahlea Bumpus walked and scored a run and drove in a run, Jamie Crawford went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored.
Taylor Johnson had a hit, two walks and two RBIs, Ella Casto had an RBI, a walk and scored a run, Courtney Edwards had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, Jaelyn Hunt had a walk and scored a run, Jenna Woods had a hit, a run and two RBIs, Sarah Brannon scored a run and Tori Hinzman had two very hard groundouts.

The Ripley All Star squad finished (4-3).
