is the largest garden tour in the U.S. and is a very anticipated event. It is, as they say, "Buffalo style gardens".
Garden Walk is a free self-guided tour, no tickets required. The walk is about 350 gardens strong and always growing! The urban gardens are located in many of Buffalo's historic neighborhoods. The tour covers more than a five mile area.
Besides the FREE tours, FREE shuttles are also available to help you "neighborhood or garden" hop.In total, over 1,000 gardens can be seen throughout the city's homes, churches, businesses and government buildings.
The neighborhoods of this New York city are loaded with beautiful homes, shops and restaurants and plenty of green space. Buffalo neighbors open their gardens to offer you a beautiful experience.
This garden event is open to anyone in the community, with no prior judging. The Garden Walk also takes in the Frederick Law Olmsted designed Delaware Park in downtown Buffalo. You will find it by the art deco City Hall. Most of the gardens are private ones, however as the popularity of the event increased so did the amount and kinds of gardens. The popular walk has seen an increase of community spaces, corporate gardens and church gardens.
Garden Walk has given back to the community by providing grants for more than 75 garden beautification projects.Garden Walk Buffalo rejuvenates streets, re-energizes neighborhoods and increases property values.
